Get to Know Dr. Norma Lehman
Though she’s still a bit new to our practice, Dr. Lehman has already impressed us. Her skills in dentistry – polished over several years now – are absolutely top-notch! WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?
To be honest, dentistry wasn’t Dr. Lehman’s first career choice. (That would be Information Technology.) However, she eventually became drawn to the field and changed her job path.
You see, Dr. Lehman realized she enjoys working with people, as well as dentistry’s artistic aspect. More specifically, her passion is to help people improve their oral health and prevent systemic diseases. Dental work fulfills that desire and lets her explore dentistry’s technical evolution. Therefore, she considers the field fascinating – both as a way to help others and as an example of technological advancement.
WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?
Dr. Lehman attended Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry after her undergrad studies at UT Dallas. While there, she was inducted into the Odonatological Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Later, her training came to encompass several certifications. These include Invisalign and Oral Sedation.
Naturally, Dr. Lehman also pursues continuing education and updates on the latest dental trends. Consequently, she’s a member in good standing of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
Dr. Lehman enjoys various hobbies in her downtime. For example, she loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband, son, and daughter. She often joins them for outdoor cookouts! Otherwise, her other major interests are bike riding, hiking, traveling, and learning about history and culture.
